How it works

Word to PDF in three steps

  1. Choose your .docx

A Word document. Save older .doc files as .docx in Word first.

  2. Convert

Plooi reads headings, paragraphs, bold and italics, lists, tables and images.

  3. Download

An A4 PDF with real text, to search and copy.

Good to know

  1. Does the PDF look exactly like it does in Word?

Not always. Ordinary documents come out neatly. Complex layouts (columns, text boxes, headers and footers, special fonts) may look simpler or a little different. If it has to match pixel for pixel, use ‘Save as PDF’ in Word.

  2. Does it work with .doc too?

No, only with .docx. Open an old .doc file in Word or LibreOffice and save it as .docx.

  3. Does my document go to a server?

No. Plooi reads your document and makes the PDF in your own browser.
