Your files never leave your device

No upload, no account, no tracking, no ads, no cookies to follow you. A PDF can say a lot about you: contracts, payslips, medical papers. That’s why nobody sees it but you.

Everything in your own browser

Merging, splitting, compressing, signing, protecting, converting and recognising text: it all happens in your browser, on this device. Your files don’t go to a server of ours or anyone else’s. Plooi doesn’t even have a server that could receive them: the site technically allows no outgoing connections.

What Plooi does fetch

Plooi only loads the heavy parts when a tool needs them, always from its own address: the PDF reader, the font it puts into PDFs and the language data for recognising text. That’s fetching, never sending. Your browser keeps the language data so it doesn’t have to fetch it again next time.

Passwords and signatures

A password you put on a PDF or use to open one, and a signature you draw or type, only exist in your browser while the page is open. Plooi doesn’t keep them.

What your browser remembers

Only your preferences: light or dark, your language and your Reading aids settings. No files.

What you send on yourself

Whatever Plooi makes is an ordinary file in your downloads. If you send it on, it goes through your email or your storage, and their rules apply.

Technical logs

Like every web server, our hosting provider keeps short technical logs (such as IP address and time of a page visit) to keep the site running safely. They contain no files. We don’t use those logs to track visitors.
