Good to know
- 1
Why is my PDF barely smaller?
A PDF that is mostly text is already small: the weight is nearly always in the photos. Without photos there’s little to gain, and Plooi tells you so honestly.
- 2
Does the text stay sharp?
Yes, with ‘Smaller photos’ text stays ordinary text: sharp, searchable and copyable. Only with ‘Pages as images’ does each page become a picture, and then you can no longer select the text.
- 3
Is my file sent to a server to compress it?
No. Plooi redraws the photos in your own browser. Nothing leaves your device.
